The oil sands help our economy. With the oil sands it means that there is more money in the bank for Canadians because a barrel is roughly $100 or more. With all the money from the oil sands, it get distributed across the country. Equalization payments, health transfers, and other programs will share $54 billion. This money goes towards hospitals, schools, and other basic businesses.
